The Mountain Shadows Dolphins Swim Team has been part of the East Brainerd community for over 20 years and many of our coaches swam with the Dolphins as children.  Our team consists of children ages 5 through 18 and we compete locally with the Chattanooga Fun Swim League as well as at intramural swim meets.  Our swimmers experience the excitement of competition combined with other social activities including private pool parties, pizza & ice cream, swim buddy activities and other age appropriate outings.

Our swim season starts right after Memorial Day and continues through the middle of July.  Children swim within their age group (5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and 15&up) and practices are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings as well as Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  Swim meets are held throughout the summer and parents are needed as volunteers to host these events.  Swimming with the Dolphins Swim Team is a great way to spend your summer having fun and improving your swimming skills.  

Chattanooga Fun Swim League (CFSL)

What is a Fun League? The Chattanooga Fun Swim League (CFSL) was formed by concerned neighborhood teachers and parents distressed by the declining physical activity of students/children during the summer months. Determined to reverse a growing trend, they organized a summer team-sport program centered around the neighborhood pool to entice kids away from inside/sedentary PC games and TV programming. Our program improves swimming skills; provides a safe venue to gather with friends-new and old; and promotes the fun and spirit of a team sport. Coaches help to improve speed, stroke skills--- particularly the breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, & backstroke--- diving skills, floating techniques, and endurance. Summer scheduling--camps, job demands and vacations- are easily arranged around our practice times for a more flexible & “relaxed” but, still, competitive environment.
